How many player in one team in Apex legends?

Most of the battle royale games usually have 4 players as a squad and sometimes 6 players. But Apex legends have only 3 players in a squad.

Earlier there were discussions to increase the number of players in a squad to 4 but then any such ideas were dismissed by the Apex Legends developer team. So now you have three modes, that are solo, duo, and squad(three players).
